Manila Coco's VCOs are unrefined, naturally induced from proprietary advanced mechanical expellers (Manila VirginFlo), without chemicals, no chemical refining, no bleaching, and no deodorizing. Our VCOs have naturally stable saturated fatty acids, which produce no free radicals and have no cholesterol-enhancing attributes. These do not need to undergo chemical processes like partial hydrogenation to prolong shelf life, and as such, are devoid of trans fatty acids which are known to cause degenerative diseases.
Virgin Coco de Manila brand of VCOs are derived first pressed from freshly picked mature coconuts organically grown from the rich tropical Philippine soils. So, one can enjoy its light sweet coconut taste and aroma. Its moisture is almost nil that it is rancid-free and with shelf life longer than village pressed oils. These also come in popular flavors, infused with essential oils from lemon, orange or honey, without degrading its natural VCO integrity for variety.
Only non-GMO coconuts from robust juicy trees not more than 50 years old within organic farm estates are used. Governmental bio-researchers have long found out that trees older than half a century tend to be less productive with anemic fruits, sub-prime senile, and prone to a lot of tree diseases. Farm and processing aspects are in conformity to the Philippine National Identity Standards (Codex Alimentarius) of the Bureau of Food and Drug and 3rd party organic certification by Ecocert of Germany. Manila Coco's VCO contains the optimum amount of beneficial fatty acids, largely medium chain fatty acids (with 55% lauric acid) and tocopherols, which cause resistance to pre-oxidation. It is distinct from partially hydrogenated vegetable fats (with artificially stabilized unsaturated fatty acids), and animal fats (lards/shortening), which are pre-dominated by long chain fatty acids. Artificially stabilized fatty acids, and long chain fatty acids have been medically traced to cause many of the more understood degenerative diseases. Usage Instructions: 100% Vegetarian. Non-GMO. Our VCO could be taken orally by itself, or with meals, fruits, dairy or other drinks to vary taste. It is best to test-start with low dosage and gradually increase to 3 or 4 tablespoons daily as desired. It solidifies at 20 degrees Celsius (68°F) and should be thawed to water-clear oil prior to use. No refrigeration needed.
